Don’t get me wrong, honoring your feelings is important, but when they demand you spiral out and assign meaning to things that aren't true, it’s easy to get bowled over by them- and half the time they aren’t even true. I read somewhere that you can’t blame yourself for knee-jerk reactionary thoughts, they just pop up, but if you can learn to take back the power from subsequent racing thoughts and instead embrace a curious acceptance of reality and its various possibilities, you’ll be a lot happier in your general life, as well as your dating one.
